Mike Neal was born and raised in the San Francisco bay area. He started surfing in the late sixties and never looked back, chasing waves from northern Cal to Baja till he graduated from high school. In 1973 he moved to Maui, then to Kauai to surf the big waves of Hawaii.... Mike has a love for photography that started in HS with shooting and developing black and white film. In recent years he has joined the digital revolution, with Canon equipment, from land and water.... He now lives on Maui with his creative wife and has 2 great kids . Mike started Neal Studios in 2004 and does custom woodwork and photography.
